Chebeague Island Coastal Cleanup - Chebeague & Cumberland Land Trust

Join us, Island Institute, and Surfrider Maine for coastal clean up, marine debris data collection, and invasive species removal. The event aims to reduce pollution, improve habitat health, and generate valuable data that informs long-term conservation efforts. By working together, we will ensure Chebeague’s shorelines remain resilient and vibrant! Please register at https://volunteer.surfrider.org/timeslots/ZJXiCrwR9l so we can plan transportation needs accordingly. The group will split up to go to about 10 beaches for clean up and other light maintenance. We will provide buckets, leaf bags, gloves, and tarps for sorting trash. Feel free to bring your own gloves, reusable water bottle, and sunscreen. We will provide transportation to the various locations and meet back up for a group gathering and snacks. No prior experience is required — training, tools, and support will be provided on site, and participants can choose the role that best fits their interests and comfort level.
